About The Engineer Investor
Everything you need to know about The Engineer Investor — an engineer by training, an investor by choice, and a spreadsheet enthusiast by nature.

The Story
After spending over two decades in the tech industry, I realized that the path to real wealth wasn’t just in climbing the corporate ladder — it was in deploying my income strategically into assets that generate passive cash flow.
So I did what any engineer would do: I built a spreadsheet, ran the numbers, and bought my first rental property. Then another. And another. In less than 10 years, I’ve scaled from zero to 7 rental properties worth over $10M — and I’m still actively evaluating deals and diversifying my portfolio.
The problem? Most real estate investing content is either surface-level clickbait or expensive coaching programs that promise the moon. I wanted something different: data-driven analysis, honest breakdowns, and frameworks that an analytical mind can trust.
That’s what The Engineer Investor is all about — not a textbook, but as a journal of my own investing journey. Every strategy I write about, I’ve either used myself or evaluated with real numbers. I share the wins, the mistakes, and the lessons that only come from putting your own capital on the line.

The Philosophy
Run the numbers. Trust the data. Build for the long term.
If you want to know what about The Engineer Investor makes it different — every piece of content is built on the same principle: if you can’t model it in a spreadsheet, you shouldn’t bet your money on it. Real estate investing is a business — treat it like one.
